Why You Should Join the New Milford Chamber of Commerce
1. Displaying the Chamber emblem shows that you are a reputable business as well as one interested in community affairs.
2. Your membership includes a listing in our Directory. The name of your business will be listed by classification, as well as alphabetically. You can also create a link from our website directly to your website so that consumers can contact you directly.
3. The Chamber works together with the Mayor and Council, as well as with the Police Department and Fire Department to improve business conditions.
4. The Chamber receives mail concerning current legislative issues and will take positions on legislation which affects the business community.
5. Listed are just a few undertakings involving the Chamber:
* Business: Tax issues, consumerism, traffic, sign ordinance, government matters, Sunday closing.
* Community: Local school scholarship awards and various fundraisers to support these awards.
6. Mayor and Council meeting dates are posted on our calendar.
7. If you have any questions or problems concerning Borough procedures we will try to answer them for you, or give you the proper source to contact.
8. At general membership meetings you will meet other men and women who are executives and/or owners of businesses in the community. You can exchange ideas and enjoy speakers from both political and commercial organizations.
